About the role
You will be part of a small team which maintains and develops a comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements in the business and an aligned set of effective policies and processes. You will work with colleagues to fully operationalise these into BAU activities through ongoing improvement and compliance programmes.
Outside these routine tasks, you will contribute to cross-organisation compliance projects with the goal of continuously improving information security posture, governance and data privacy across everything we do.
The role will require you to work closely and under the guidance of the IG Lead and closely with the business and legal departments. There will be a need to develop and maintain your understanding of information governance, regulation and related technologies and offers substantive opportunity to develop within the information security and data privacy industry.
You'll need a good working knowledge of data privacy legislation including the GDPR for this role, which is most likely to mean at least 3 year’s experience in a similar role related to IG, technology or data management. You'll also need a good understanding and background in a technology related discipline to be effective in assessing IG compliance and an understanding of threats across a wide range of digital projects.
Your personal skills should include the ability to cope under pressure, remain clear headed and focused on important priorities, and haver efficient methods to manage your workload. You must also have good communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
