Legal Business Administrator

We're recruiting for a Legal Business Administrator to join the City & Guilds Legal Team. Our diverse team is full of different personalities and backgrounds and the role is a great opportunity for your career development.

This role is perfect for someone with administrative background; however, this is not essential. We would love for you to be willing to learn about legal systems and to be able to work in a faced paced legal environment. We are interested in your team building skills and what you can bring to the team so please do not be put off by not having previous experience.

This is a hybrid role with working 1 day in the in the London office per week. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is based in London or someone who would be able to commute. 

This appointment will be made on merit.

About the role

The Legal team advise on the legal aspects of the majority of activities of the City & Guilds Group e.g. Contracts for Goods & Services, Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, etc. 

The purpose of this role is to monitor and manage the Legal Team inboxes and to ensure that all requests for legal support contact all relevant information, are logged, and allocated to a member of the Legal Team within agreed service level. You will need to provide work in progress reports to the team prior to the Business Unit Liaison Lawyer meeting.

You will also need to manage the Group contract register, including to ensure that signed contracts are received and correctly filed. Within this role, you must be able to recommend and implement process or technological efficiencies including the legal system and the contract process

About you 

In order to be successful, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to produce accurate work and meet deadlines and you must be able to work independently and within a team in a fast paced environment. We would love for you to have strong organisational and project management skills as this will be crucial when taking on project management tasks.

We would love for you to have previous experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department as an administrator or have some knowledge of working with legal technology in order to implement working efficiencies.
