Financial Reporting and Planning Analyst

As an FP&A specialist, you will prepare all Group internal reporting, planning, forecasting, budgeting and three year plan requirements. You will deliver reporting packs including relevant KPI’s, related financial metrics and dashboards with insightful value added commentary for the Leadership Team and Trustees. Working closely with finance colleagues, you will understand and interpret the financial performance of the business in order to support best practice effective decision-making by the Leadership team and to provide appropriate challenge to business units in their planning and forecasting.

About the role

You will lead the end to end process, preparing, developing and delivering accurate presentation packs with business insights, including all commentary and financial metrics to the Leadership team and Trustees. This will involve analysing and challenging results and commentaries provided by business units to identify trends, key drivers and meaningful insight.

You will also make recommendations and implement continuous improvements to reporting and planning packs and processes. You will build and develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure information on developments and issues within City and Guilds are shared across function and implications of such issues are understood. The role will also support the Head of FP&A and the Senior Systems Planning Analyst as needed, to provide ongoing support for wider Group initiatives.

About you

You are most likely to be a finalist or newly qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with experience in a commercial finance , decision support, or group reporting role. You must be familiar dealing with multi entity and multi currencies. You will need extensive management reporting and planning systems experience. You will need experience of OneStream Planning or a similar planning and consolidation tool.

You will need the ability to work under pressure and stick to tight deadlines, be self-motivated, and able to plan and time manage your workload with conflicting priorities. With great communication skills, you'll need to be able to liaise with all levels of senior management. The role also requires someone who is highly numerate, and able to produce accurate reporting on time and free of errors.
