Learning Technology Lead - ideally based Chicago, US
The Learning Technology Lead, is responsible for the design, delivery, and support of our technical solutions. As part of the Kineo management team, you will lead our approach to technology in the US and support our global operating models with our Kineo EMEA and Kineo APAC businesses. A Chicago home location would be great as this is where our US head office is, but applicants from other areas will be considered as well.
Travel will be required in this role and you will sometimes need to work across different US and international time zones.
About the role
You'll have lots of interaction with current and prospective customers. You'll be a key contributor to client workshops, designed to facilitate identification of customer requirements and needs. Then you'll work in partnership with peers to design fit for purpose solutions to meet those requirements.
The role will also ensure the curation of a high quality, economic, and scalable development capability. You'll define processes and set standards for coding, quality assurance and documentation and you'll oversee the activity of a core group of developers (both employees and contractors), providing direction and support as needed. You'll lead the Client Services and Delivery Teams, working with team leads to set goals and KPIs and hold the team accountable for meeting them. So you will also mentor, coach and support team leads to grow their capabilities.
You'll be champion continuous improvement, developing the overall effectiveness of team performance and the customer experience. You'll act as a point of escalation for to resolve both client and cross-team issues.
You must have experience in the digital learning space, especially in the implementation of software applications. You'll need knowledge of PHP, xAPI, and HTML5. You should also be familiar with working with one or more LMS and authoring tools like Articulate, Lectora and Elucidat.
You'll be comfortable working with external clients and in multi-disciplinary teams, and will have worked in an Agile project management environment. You will also be able to demonstrate the successful delivery of projects to agreed budgets and timescales.
