About the role

You'll support our Senior Lead Designer in maintaining design quality across the team, as well as leading the design on your own digital projects. You’ll kick things off with clients and run design workshops in a consultative, authoritative and imaginative way.

Working with a large production team (including Art Directors, Developers and Technical Consultants), the role has an emphasis on creating innovative and clever designs that you’ll champion internally and externally. Using your strong communication skills to lead meetings, you'll present and explain your design rationale and build a great rapport with your clients.

About you

As a Lead Learning Designer, we want someone who has creative fizz as part of their DNA. You’ll need to be an established Designer, bursting with enthusiasm for your own work as well as that of your team.

Writing and editing will come naturally to you. You will have strong analytical skills to help you review, prioritise and design creative learning. Managing your time to enable you to work across multiple projects and balance tight deadlines will also be important.

You will have proven design skills with an ability to identify engaging and effective solutions across a wide range of content, helping our clients to meet their learning objectives.

It would also be desirable if you have an interest in:

  • Current web design principles including UX / UI design, user testing, and designing video for learning
  • Working creatively with a range of software (including the Office 365 suite and eLearning authoring tools)
  • Keeping abreast of the latest technology and current learning trends
  • Good commercial awareness with a strong understanding of the impact your design decisions have on budgets and timelines.
