We are growing and we are currently recruiting talented Developers looking for an exciting opportunity to join Kineo - well-established and progressive provider of e-learning solutions.
We are open to speak to more senior Full Stack Developers and also to the candidates who are are still developing their skills and experience in this area. The salary will depend on the skillset of each individual.
More experienced candidates will have an ability to take on a senior position, working as a key member of the team.
You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle. Key responsibilities of the senior developer role:
* Act as key technical point of contact within development teams, advising on feasibility, estimates, and best-fit solutions
* Produce robust, maintainable and performant code
* Mentor mid-level developers
This role will suit a solid all-round developer who has a good understanding of full tech stack technologies.
We are also keen to speak to candidates who start their commercial career and who would love to put their skills gained during their time in education to use.
We have 2 vacancies with different level of seniority. We recruit for a permanent contract and also a fixed 12 months contract.

About the role
Your role will be to create new and enhanced functionality for Totara and Moodle and to implement and maintain themes for Totara and Moodle sites and other products that may be used within Learning Platforms. You will be also working with Art Directors and graphic designers to create appropriately branded and functional interfaces. Full Stack Developer will also identify risks in projects and raise them in a timely manner with recommended mitigations with the appropriate person. We would like you to provide accurate estimates of technical work and ensure the design and technical solutions of all assigned tasks are; achievable, fit for purpose and work effectively. You will also flag any issues or risks to the project manager and propose alternative approaches. We would like you to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients to ensure the highest possible quality of product, delivered on time and to budget.
We are looking for an all-round developer who has a good understanding of full tech stack technologies.
Some of the attributes we are looking for from more experienced candidates are:
Extensive and proven experience of PHP, HTML and CSS development
Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming
Advanced knowledge of database design, and query optimisation (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
Good knowledge of CSS pre-processors such as LESS, SCSS or SASS
You will also need to be familiar with test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration (CI)
