Digital Product Owner


City & Guilds Group is recruiting for a full time (35 hour) permanent Digital Product Owner position which will report to the Head of Digital Product Management. The role is responsible for working with both internal and external developers, internal stakeholders, and users to implement new products and services, as well as utilising data and user feedback to suggest improvements. We can be flexible with where this role will be based so long as you are a commutable distance from one of our hub offices; Wakefield, Brighton, Burntwood, Warrington and Glasgow.

About The Role

Within this technical role, as Digital Product Owner, you will interpret high level business and product requirements and create feature requirements, user stories and relevant product backlog items. You will write system requirement specifications in user stories, using the higher-level product management/service requirements as a guide, in addition to conducting analysis to understand and fine-tune user and system requirements. 

You will be a strong at prioritising and be able to ensure that milestones are met and your engineering teams have everything that they need to deliver. You will measure, track and improve functional and non-functional aspects of the product or service whilst efficiently collaborating with business leaders to organise review meetings.

Within this role, you will serve as a liaison with end-users, management, engineering, and stakeholders to provide regular updates on product development and operations. In this vein, you will collaborate with product managers on building the product vision and long-term roadmap and serve as an advocate for your technology. 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience as a Product Owner with exposure to working in DevOps continuous delivery. You will have experience using INVEST model for agile development and be comfortable with Lean Product Management and agile development methodologies. 

As Digital Product Owner you will be able to lead by influence, manage multiple projects and deliverables, work to tight deadlines and operate with ownership and accountability.
